Delta Zeta is a sorority which prides itself on its ability to give back to the Missouri State campus and Springfield community. Members spend hours dedicating themselves to volunteerism and philanthropy, including on-campus and nationwide.
Delta Zeta's national philanthropy is the speech and hearing impaired. Locally, Epsilon Nu supports the Missouri State University Communication and Sciences Disorders Department. We also support the Delta Zeta Foundation through both individual and chapter efforts. The Foundation gives donations to the House Ear Institute in Los Angelos and Gallaudet University in Washington D.C.

In 2006, Delta Zeta added two new national philanthropies, So the World May Hear, a program that since 1995 has provided more than 65,000 children and adults with hearing aids. The other philanthropy, Painted Turtle, is a camp for children and their families with life-threatening diseases. The camp is held each summer and Delta Zeta members have the opportunity in participating as a volunteer.
Every fall since 1995, the Epsilon Nu chapter puts together a fun-filled and humorous male beauty pageant on campus, called Big Man On Campus. Last year alone, we helped raise over $5000.

This past Spring Delta Zeta paired with Sigma Phi Epsilon, a fraternity on Missouri State's campus, and created "Greek Tug," a Greek-wide philanthropy event. Teams came out from all of MSU's sororities and fraternities to support. The proceeds, totaling $2,000 went to the Communication and Sciences Disorder Department as well as the Special Olympics, Sigma Phi Epsilon's philanthropy. "Greek Tug" has been turned into our annual Spring philanthropy event and will occur again this year.

Delta Zeta prides itself on its service to others on campus, in Springfield, and through out the nation. Members support each fraternity and sorority chapters' philanthropies here on the Missouri State campus. They also participate each year in the raising money for the American Cancer Society's Relay For Life Campaign. Members work their community service hours at several different places, including the local Habitat for Humanity, Ronald McDonald House, The American Red Cross, and the Humane Society. Several members have also participated in MSU's Alternative Spring Break, traveling down to New Orleans to help rebuild the city after Hurricane Katrina.
More recently, all members of Delta Zeta have participated in the Missouri State University's Greek-wide philanthropy, The Up Til Dawn Campaign for St. Jude's Children's Hospital. Each member participates in the letter writing campaign to help raise money and several members are on the Executive Board for the campaign. In the first year at Missouri State University, the campus raised over $108,000 for the St. Jude's Hospital.
